When installing Cisco AnyConnect, click “Continue” and/or “Accept/Agree” on any boxes that appear.
Click “Next” or “Continue” on all the screens. (You only need to install the first “VPN” checkbox)
Once AnyConnect is installed, a box may come up as shown below:
Open the Security Preferences and click “Allow” at the bottom:
Finally, launch Cisco AnyConnect and type in vpn01.ilstu.edu and then click Connect and enter your ULID and password *This is not where you enter the name of the computer you want to connect to. That is in a couple steps.
Next, go to the App Store and find “Microsoft Remote Desktop 10”:
Once it is installed, click the “Add a Desktop” button and, in the window that appears, enter the name of your computer.
This is typically “cast” followed by the ISU Tag # on your computer and “ad.ilstu.edu”. Some computers are named after individuals’ ULIDs instead. Examples would be, cast900000.ad.ilstu.edu or YOUR_ULID.ad.ilstu.edu
Finally, click on the computer and enter ADILSTU\ before your ULID and then your ISU password:
